I was satisfied with the app before it started crashing every time I type in my email username        Error at signin for email

I as a small contractor am really getting tired of spending 512 two to three times a day on a request for work to have the person requesting the work look at my quote and NEVER respond Why should I have to pay just because they look then decide to ignore me Ive got good reviews decent profile and an ok websiteso why Thumbtack why cant I get a refund for other peoples ignorance or stupidity to just say thanks but no thanks but to simply ignore Its really getting frustrating and considering going elsewhere        Creditsquotes

I have gotten quite a few students through Thumbtack but since the app was switched to the store for purchasing credits I cannot buy credits I get an error message or it cycles indefinitely and does nothing I keep having to go to the full site and submit my quote from there And why can I buy two credits on the full site but not on the app              Definitely has a bug

I got a new phone downloaded the app and now Im not getting any leads Please fix this           No leads

If I could give zero stars I would Thumbtack charges professionals just to get in contact with potential customers They obviously havent dont too much market research as not a single customer provides a budget or goes into great detail with their request This leaves professionals with no choice but to waste credits reaching out to people who arent serious about their own business 95 of the time customers go with contractors outside of thumbtack of fake professionals vastly underbidding a quietly service Thumbtack for pros is essentially hire the next door neighbors kid Their system is laughable and they need to change it Thumbtack fails to listen to its clientele and thus fails to offer reasonable services to real professionals This in turn also hurts the customers as they are left with nonprofessionals and dishonest pros underbidding and underperforming Very disappointing     Terrible Thumbtack for pros is thumbtack for kids

Ive been trying to use this app forever it doesnt work at all Its awful     App doesnt work

A lot of things need to be fixed in this minimal app 1 Notifications Since the last update the only reason I had for using this app has ceased functioningnotifications I used my phone in front of me to alert me of new requests so that I could then respond via the website Since the last update and an installreinstall it doesnt work 2 Cities WITH States would be nice Just having the request say Springfield isnt going to help me if they want a local Pro and I dont know which Springfield they are in 3 The color coordinated Inbox is just confusing as heck I dont know what Green Orange or Blue mean and Ill never remember what they mean They dont even coordinate with anything on the website Do they Cant check ATM because the Thumbtack website is down 4 Having to buy credit packages and having to buy them through iTunes doesnt work for me Ive found that just buying the minimum per request works better for me than buying a bundle Im not using my iTunes account for anything but personal stuff It isnt tied into my business expenses Good stuff I like being to pass on a bunch of requests a lot easier and faster than on the website I cant recommend this app to other Pros until at the very least notifications get fixed        Might As Well Use the Website

Received 1 legit lead which paid me 3000 and in turn I paid over 10000 Not a good return on investment It also seems like unprofessional people offer their services Will never use again     Bad

How could anyone complain about spending 36 to bid on a job Any professional knows you spend much more than that Thumbtack does all your marketing and investing on attracting internet users to your site I have started my own business because of my success on thumbtack I push this service to every pro I meet and I am not being paid to do so I do it because IT WORKS Angies list is now copying Thumbtack but search a service and thumbtack is always at the top and every customer I have asked about using thumbtack talks about how easy it is for them and it costs them nothing to get several pros bidding on their projects You cant blame thumbtack when customers are vague on their needs its simple for me I bid on jobs I know Im interested in and I pass on the rest THANK YOU THUMBTACK                 electrician

This app is a must have for responding to clients the quickest However one bug that shows up is the send button covering up the last line of text Annoying The actual thumbtack service depends on your prices and quality of work Ive had a lot of success on there but none is garuntee Do your research if anything before spending a lot of money on credits              Good app with a minor hickup

You have to spend money and gamble it away In return you get nothing Im a master electrician steady work Tried this and dont like it Would love it if when you get a job then you pay thumbtack Or at least get the 1st 2 jobs on them Not the other way around     Absolutely a waste

Really No internet connection Thad weird because I can use the Internet and anything else that requires the Internet on my phone Cant log in Before this issue it would randomly log me out all the time     No internet connection huh

I am starting out training dogs This has gotten me 5 new clients in just two weeks So 250 just on one time clients if they never come back to me I have bought the middle plan 3 times so far Just that alone is still ahead of the game They refund you your credits back if clients dont look at your quote within 48 hours It is good if you are trying to get your name out there              Useful application

Wont let me log in anymore The app still pushes me notifications I can still log in online Doesnt say I have any tokens after I bought some before the update        WAS great

So I tried using this app after I sent a request and Thumbtack was promoting it on the mobile site I originally made my business account using my Facebook profile and what do you know theres no option to allow me to login with my Facebook account on the app I tried putting the email associated with my FB account but its not doing anything Looks like I cant use the app until they fix this problem that I thought would be obvious from the start     Terrible Functionality

I use the Thumtack APP to explore and bid on jobs Its very easy to use and I have yet to experience any problems with it                 Excellent APP

Useless and expensive Why Idk if it depends on the job but to send a quote to a potential customer for me was 3 each Just to send a quote On top of that potential customer requests are shady complete waste of time not serious or just fake Btw I say customers bc anyone can request quotes and sign up Same goes for professionals After one week of using this app if I was a customer I wouldnt hire someone through thumbtack either Unfortunately I met a pro and she was FAR FROM IT And yet had such positive reviews on her profile Also after I bought 12 credits for 1799 I cannot even send a quote to a potential customer unless Ive been hired through thumbtack How can I get hired if I cant send a quote Ive seen potential customer requests on third party websites but there is no way to contact them bc 1 you cannot search for customers 2 you will only get redirected to the thumbtack website to sign up all over again Seemed like a good idea for a second and realized its shoddy at best Although I wont be crying over the 1799 please be warned There are tons of negative reviews online complaining about the same issues Ive mentioned Beware This app and company is not legit nor are the customers and pros     I shouldve known it was a scam

The Thumbtack app is great I get alerts right away when people need a local makeup artist Loads good easy to function and understand It would be great if you could pay for just the credit you are sending like on the website rather than the app trying to get 12 credits or 32 credits           Great APP needs adjustments

This idea needs more validation perhaps by consumers responding to pro messages Ive sent plenty and no response to most Even for 1 or 2 bids on less competitive work The app is missing a ton of features Search is a miserable experience        Missing lots of features Verdict is still out

In the beginning there was optimism excitement and hope that Thumbtack would change the whole dynamics of acquiring work At times I have done very well with bidding on jobs but lately every cheap contractor of various sorts has signed up and paying 10 for nothing is getting old Those of us that do quality work want and need a quality opportunity The business model worked well in the beginning but other sites like Smith allow me and by business to pay only if the client hires us That is much more cost effective and I think a much better model moving forward        The Excitement Has Worn Off

Despite repeated attempts to provide the feedback that Thumbtack keeps asking for I have yet to see any of the suggestions put into action The map of the area zip code of the client request should tell the user the distance from them There should be a mechanism in place which will allow me to offer specialscouponsholiday offers to clients To eliminate the shark feeding frenzy that occurs when a high dollar bid is submitted and some users simply type in a very short response and hit send in order to block other people from submitting bids There needs to be a requirement that there is a minimum amount of characters required for a submitted response For those professionals who have been awarded Best of 2015 there should be a preference given in the form of a notification to the client that they have received a bid from an awardwinning organization The date of the event needs to be displayed in calendar format tied to the users account in the form of a tie into the Hired information on their account        I hope this is the beta version

I get messages about Thumbtack leads emails about Thumbtack leads and the message URL opens up the Thumbtack app or I can go straight to the app and bid on a project of pass Every single time Ive used Thumbtack in any capacity it works flawlessly I dont understand anyone having a problem with it Ive found the organization to be an excellent source of leads and almost without fail the customers I get to be great to deal with Thumbtack is the best and no ones paying me or rewarding me in any way for saying this                 Never have a single problem with this app

I have had good luck with this app I have spent 25 for credits and made over 1000 Had some bugs but I called the help center and both issues were fixed within a day or so Its worth the time and investment                 Good deal

NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY Average quote per 1 person is 4 credits You only have 3 different packages to purchase from I chose the 3500 package plus tax was a total of 3709 for 24 credits which you only get 6 quotes at 4 credits each making each quote costing me 620 Ive contacted support regarding there credits refund department of not being hired for the job or customers just not responding back They refunded half my credits only to have the same thing happen over and over Ive written a complaint regarding the nonhire or no response after submitting my quotes and I received a long email about how Thumbtack has been featured on Forbes magazine and how theyve received a 100 million investment led by Google Capital And with more than 70000 paying professionals If each professional has to pay 620 for every customer quote and the customer gets 5 different blind profile leads and does not have access to your profile unless we submit the quote that means even after not being hired from each customer they make 3200 that we pay them and only one person may get hired Ive had people not even respond and still had to pay At 3200 per customer 5 professionals paying into that at 620 and only 1 or maybe no one getting the job I see why Thumbtack is making out so well and why professionals arent My profession is built with visual and pricing at the base Traveling Service Pricing should also be open for customers view before submitting a quote ONLY THE HIRED should have to pay for the quote Not all 5 EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED 5 stars if I could post that low I would     RIPPING OFF PROFESSIONALS

I have paid 1799 to give 4 very low quotes and have not heard anything back from anyone Something doesnt seem right about the customer requests I shouldnt have to pay for a quote that I dont get the work on If youre out of work tight on money I would not use this app It just cost you more money for people to look at your quotes then hire someone else not through thumbtack     Something isnt right

Ive had a good experience since I got the professionals app I get my notifications on time and have no problem with quotes or messages Its easy to edit your profile on it too This app is way better than the first one they made                 Great app

The app itself is well done and nice but theres little to no chance you will actually gain business from this We are a successful company but had very little luck with this app In fact for most of our quotes the hiring client ended up going with someone outside thumbtack     Not Worth It

I want to start by saying this app has outstanding potential However the method of gaining clients as a professional can be quite expensive and is beginning to be a little redundant in our marketing strategies Other professionals and I are starting to realize the profit loss in the marketing services this app provides If a potential client views our offer it is no longer refundable On the other hand if they do not view our offer within a certain time from we receive a refund I think I speak for all professional using this app when I request that you refund our credits in full or partial if we are not selected for hire A number of us have considered leaving this app because of the inconsistency from clients just trying to test the market prices and the professional still having to pay on average 4 per quote submitted Thumbtack please consider a reevaluation to this method I can almost guarantee an instant rating boost from all existing professionals        Photographer Worries

Ive been using the app for about 7months so far Ive gotten quite a bit of business A few minor adjustments and it would be even better But if you suggest improvements the thumbtack team seems to take them into consideration and make changes as needed Great app great thumbtack support team              Signature Home Inspections

This app is terrible It malfunctions all the time There is no feature that allows you to mark leads as hired What kind of app for Pros does not even allow you to manage your own clients I mean seriouslybig thumbs down     Bad App

I bought more then 30 on credits points and spent 2 days building a website inside their community Then even bought a background check from them and ask colleagues to review me there Upload dozen of videos and dozen of pictures from my team 20 photographer and director for living I basically did everything is possible to increase credibility and reputation for clients I start to send requests that you pay credits and real money even if you dont get the job or an answer then soon I run out of credits and wasted a lot of Then I had a doubt are these people offering jobs real people There is no way to prove it For what we know can be the owner of the application that is faking to be different clients to make people that spend exited and buy more credits Without ever accept anybody Then I start to message these people just asking if they where real people or computer generated or working for the company or simple if the job ever happened More then 40 emails and Zero 0 answers Zero This APP can be a genius scam Then I googled the company and I find out in the time frame of few years they receive more the 100 Million of dollars from investors Google it for develop this app Yes They received Hundred Millions to develop this crapy and cheap system of charging people money even if they dont get the job Shame With hundred of millions of investment people aspect much more then charge money for supposition of mysterious clients that maybe exist and maybe they dont that just Hypothetically read your offer and resume Seriously 100M to develop this If the system doesnt change Apple should kick them out this APP is to shady     Possible Scam App

Newest version logs me out all the time so Im constantly having to type my user name and password and then relogin But it doesnt really matter as while I once actually got jobs through Thumbtack now bidding just seems to be a waste of time and money Really 9 credits to bid on a web job Wouldnt be so bad if I actually got the job these days but even when lowballing the job I still dont seem to get any jobs from Thumbtack these days so I really wonder if these requests are even real anymore     Thinking of leaving Thumbtack
