210% better than last years app.
Picture quality is always solid even without wifi.
The picture quality is dreadful forget HD it ain't happening.

Used to love this app had everything I wanted and easy to use Then they went to this scrolling news feed set up which was garbage to begin with when I want the news I dont want to scroll through photos and videos to find them and now they added tweets from teams and popular sports TV channels This is redux youd if I wanted their tweets Id follow them on Twitter it is not nhl news it does not belong in the news section or for that matter at all on the app in fact nbc likes to post about baseball and football which makes it even worse Anyway until this is fixed or at the very least the tweets are taking off I cannot support this app News feed

I liked seeing headlines about the league in the old version but with the new update it turned into a Twitter account that follows all 30 teams and NBC Sports which tweets about every sport not just hockey New Update was Bad

Not sure who all they have working on this app but you all are doing a great job This app allows me to keep up with not just my teams but with all the major happenings around the league Up to date news and scores not to mention their own pre game and post game broadcasts Only complaint is that the app doesnt allow you to watch the playoffs But not their fault thats licensing Thank you developers

Great app I just wish I had more granular control over push notifications I am interested in league news but Ive been getting way too many notifications with trades signings and contract terms that I am not interested in Could you add more control than just team alerts and league news alerts Most of the other sports apps at least let you manage breaking news type alerts vs normal news That would be a good start Pretty solid BUT
New video ads in the News section are way way to intrusive Which ever bean countermarketing idiot who thought this was acceptable should be fired Now OK but now too many banner ads

I have this have and paid for a subscription to watch NHL games I am now missing the finals because the app wont show many games without a cable subscription and thunderstorms in my area are disrupting the tv signal I will not renew my subscription unless the NHL can allow this app to show the games I want to see Limited video without cable

The NHL app was once the deprived hockey fans oasis With little coverage and attention on television most glaringly neglected by ESPN the NHL app have the fans the detailed coverage about all areas of the league and players that fans craved for Recently they have turned the news page into a live Twitter feed of NBC sports garbage Where there were once well written articles now is filled with unbelievably unnecessary and completely irrelevant Twitter posts If I wanted to see that useless trash I would have signed up for Twitter on my own Terrible decision to incorporate Twitter
