While this app does not yet have a lot of features it is a pleasure to use Attractive easy to view charts fast scrolling and night mode The company was just acquired by C Map the cartography company which has the resources and power to take this to the next level My priority list would include NMEA 2000 integration allowing connection to a vessel s instruments and other monitoring AIS GPS engine data I would also like to see a service from them that delivers global weather conditions and forecast via a satellite service such as Iridium Go                 Slick and fast BlueFielder

I just got back from a week of sailing Part of this frist cruise for the season was to evaluate the current state of navigation software I was running between 2 4 different products at the same time and evaluating which worked and which worked best for me I kept coming back to Embark because of its very nice UI and how simply visually appealing it is In lots and lots of hours of using it it never crashed on either my iPad or iPhone As long as you have strong cell signal where you sail you really don t need to buy any of the very reasonably priced subscriptions But even there the buy in is very modest You can subscribe to a month worth of a service to give the advanced features a try I e you don t need to throw down 60 for current charts From my perspective there are some things missing from the app it is only a couple years old I kept a running list of things that I would like to see or did not work as I expected When I got back I sent my list to the Embark folks I got an immediate response from them Although I don t know that any of my ideas will become reality I really think that my email is being discussed around a table someplace in Norway this morning Great customer service and interaction No I am not deleting the other apps from my iPad yet But I am really looking forward to using Embark this summer and watch how it matures Great job Embark folks                     Great start for new to me nav app Sailor-Steve

Pro Online charts paint very clear and have a nice clean look Con For USA users they have a very non USA feel More of an IALA symbol mix on a ENC or IMRAY like chart Nearly all functions are an in app purchase I ll likely keep it for its clean look but continue to use other apps for boating             Good reference but not sure I d boat with it Coastal1956

The charts are easy to use and beautiful as well I use it all the time to record my trips and save cool places that I ve visited The new version is especially useful because you can download charts and use them when you don t have any cell coverage I definitely recommend this app who anyone who enjoys boating                     Can t go without this boating app Christie-boater-nj

This is my new favorite navigation app Hands down the best charts on the market I was really surprised when I found out how good this was Using it a lot It is so easy to use both clean and detailed at the same time When you are out boating you want to minimize the time spent looking at your navigation system and focus on controlling your boat This app does just that Would recommend for every boater out there                     Embark Better than Navionics Joe_boater

MAJOR login issues Worked fine after I downloaded it Says my login info is incorrect If I got the password wrong there s no way to reset Facebook login is a complete no go Again worked great at first interface etc was good Fix the login issues Cheers         Login issues How deep is your water?

Why do I give 5 stars The app works smoothly The charts are better and with more detail than any I ve encountered elsewhere The usability is intuitive they have an active and helpful support What an amazing service The map data is up to date and trustworthy The offline modus is priceless Any area for one price and no limits great Why do I feel like I am qualified to write a review I ve been boating for years and always have been using paper charts aside of other navigational apps to navigate as other apps on the market had too overcrowded charts and were no benefit to the paper versions and they were expensive I ve been boating all over the US professionally and the chart source Embark is using is the same as the professional shipping navigations use Bravo on getting hands on this This app is a different one in the boating community Finally there is an app out there that I want to rely on Thank you and high recommendations                     App A must for any fishermen or boaters Herman Fredrick

Hardly use my chart plotter anymore Having my charts on my phone is simply more convenient Embark offers incredibly detailed charts to navigate with It s possible to adjust the depths and heights personally that will be shown on the chart It works perfectly smooth on the water shows my location and is very easy to understand I go fishing a lot with my boat and knowing the depth where I am is crucial to know Being able to have all that information in a beautiful map it is what I ve been waiting for I haven t gone boating at night a lot but the night mode works very well at dusk and dawn as well and the charts are incredibly easy to read Great product                     Perfect for boating navigation and fishing Lou_John

I ve been talking to the Embark support on how to use the Charts in areas with no internet coverage because being out with the boat I don t want to be dependent on reception And they solved it with the new version it s possible to just download any area you want and use it with no internet coverage Great job                     Offline works well Szymanski.j

I downloaded Embark a while ago but have just recently been able to test it well enough The design is very intuitive The charts are easily to understand and the offline mode is wonderful Getting offline mode once you can download any area you need and Embark doesn t limit you how many areas you want Worth the one time spending 100 Now i basically use it offline and won t have any costs for roaming I m curious what they ll come up with next                     Thank you for a great app Mark Wonderick
