E6B Aviation Calculator

This app is great it has everything and more for what I need Unless I have missed it this app could use a build in countdown timer with alarm for fuel consumption figuring It would just save a little time instead of using the one on my device                 Awesome app

This is a very well laid out app that concisely lays out all E6B functions and in addition other necessary and aviation related functions that assist a pilot during all phases of the flight I highly recommend this app to anyone both experienced professional pilot and new student pilot              Well constructed App

True airspeed TAS is derived from Calibrated Airspeed at a given altitude and temperature This app derives TAS from Indicated Airspeed IAS thats incorrect           TAS an issue

I agree with JNM565 It does lack the calculation carry over feature Its a pain in the backside to keep going back to the previous calculation to get the further needed answers such as his density alt calculation              Agreed

I have been an active pilot for 50 years in the businessmansport aviation catagory The E6B now that the bugs have been fixed is an excellant tool                 E6B calculator

The publishers of myE6B are not bragging this IS a powerful and useful tool Using this app on my iPod Touch I found that the menus are logical and easy to navigate the E6B functions are a snap to master with zero learning curve myE6B even has a very functional easilyselectable Night Vision style template you can select onthefly for flying at night to preserve your night vision I like the METARs and other weather functions the app remembers your previous weather reporting station so you dont have to reenter the data An area of future improvement would be to translate the weather data into plain English There are many useful functions on myE6B that make this one of the most important aviationrelated apps on my iPod This app puts Sportys E6B to shame I recommend this app without reservation Happy landings John                 A musthave utility right here

I highly recommend this app to other pilots Ive consistently used this since it was released and have nothing but good things to say Whether using it for fuel conversions or pulling down a TAF it is proven itself indispensable by saving me valuable time on the flight line                 Dont leave home without it

The integration of weather is a great feature The only thing lacking is the carry forward of one calculation to the next the way all other flight calculators work Its disappointing to calculate pressure altitude then have to reenter the numbers again to calculate density altitude           Works well Lacks calculation carry over

So far the one thing Id like to see is a percent climb conversion for SID climbs A lot of PANS OPS departure procedures Europe etc use percent climb gradient vs ftnm Id like to add an additional comment to what I said in my previous review above It was a delight to correspond with Mr DeWeese about adding the SID climb per cent conversion It has already paid off A fellow instructor was prepping for a training session in the G550 and had forgotten the conversion formula I showed him what Mr DeWeese had just added to his Appsaved him the valuable time it would have taken looking it up on the WEB When I conduct check rides in the G650 one of the problems I have the clients do is to calculate the tailwind and crosswind components prior to engine start Doing it by the book can take a few minutes Doing with this APP takes a few seconds                 Nice App

I just got this app today to help me with flight planning my crosscountry tripscurrently a student pilot and in the planning phase of the flight my instructor and I were able to just steamroll through the flight planning It only took us an hour to get all the distances from the several points I chose on the way to the designated airport I love how it remembers stuff from other calculations saving us lots of time It is 4 stars due to that Im still learning it and as of yet have not found anything wrong or too complicated However I am on the watch for these and will update the review to 5 stars if I find none              Im Liking it So Far

Havent worked with this app a whole lot just yet but there is definitely a ton of information and calculations at your finger tips I do have one suggestion as of now in the military we calculate fuel using pounds not gallons however in our log books we put in gallons added On your fuel conversion tab you can only enter in gallons I would like to be able to put in pounds to get gallons That would be very useful to me              Good so far

Im a student pilot and although you cant use this for your test it is a fantastic training aid I can check my study answers pull up weather conversions and more all in this one app                 Great for student pilots

We need an option to convert climb rates from ftNM to ftmin based on airspeed Come on guys I know you can do it If you do I can guarantee several of my buddies will buy this app     Awesome app but

Tried 2 fxns Required climb and ICAO codes Both failed whats up Ipad 2           Needs work

I was so disappointed this does not do simple math Unfortunately I will still pack my Sportys E6B with me I was trying to cut down on excess baggage but this app is not the answer     Best digital E6B

The app is great there were same problems with the wca that have been fixed in this new upgrade but the problem with covert speed menu is still there any value that you input over 999 turns into 1 Its not a big deal but fix it please I couldnt be happier with app overall              Pretty good

I have had this app for 2 year and been though many updates Its useful especially for quick fuelwind calculation The menus are easy to navigate and information is laid out logically If I remember correctly I paid 10 and its certainly worth that although dont expect to use this solely for flight planning              Useful and a good Value

I use it all the time OCONUS and on ferry flights where not every aircraft has an FMS                 Great App

Unfortunately you can not use this during the written test but as a pilot this is a great tool when flying wo all the modern conveniences of a glass cockpit                 So much better then the mechanical E6B

I am having the same problem when I updated to the new iOS it doesnt work anymore Any news on when an update is due I use this app daily              Not working

Seems that since I updated my Iphone 3GS to the IOS 50 this app doesnt work Is anyone else having the same problem I agree with everyone else that this app lacks the multitasking feature and WB info Another thing that I would love to see is a feature where you could check the NOTAMS Other than those things I use this app almost on a daily basis several times a day              Good app could be improved

I could have sworn I read a claim about a weight and balance calc in this app must have confused it for another less expensive app I was comparing it to How was this left out Who plans a flight without WB The other calcs and layout are nice though Add a nice WB calc w an editable graphical envelope plot and storable profiles like EVERY OTHER app out there and Ill up my rating Until then this will just be a 9 loss as Ill have to buyuse another app And support for iOS4 multitasking would be nice too     No weight balance no iOS 4 support

I just sat for my commercial written exam a few weeks ago sweating thru problems on my trusty ASA E6B What a pleasure using this app it is very well designed and has all of the features that I use I find myself switching between this and Foreflight for all my flight planning and enroute calculations The developer put a great deal of thought as to the use of the app as a planning tool and as a cockpit tool I happily give this one one of my rare 5 Star reviews                 Great E6B
