As a reference chord tool these apps are a great assistant but this and the D Scales app are off key on my new iPhone I m guessing these apps are no longer supported with updates             Half step off on newer iPhone 8 McMerciless

This app is okay The original from Planet Waves was better and this refresh leaves much to be desired First it looks okay not spectacular and it is spartan if you like that look It only works on the iPhone so avoid it if you only have an iPad If you do have an iPhone the controls work but space is cramped unless you have a larger phone model Guitar Master might be a better choice over this because it comes with many more options So three stars because it works but the lack of iPad support is a detriment in my view             Just okay 7equals4

I m not sure what the people who have posted 1 star reviews are talking about The new design is both beautiful and more functional It supports all screen sizes for new devices adds landscape mode adds a play button and otherwise has the exact same functionality as the previous version Controls have been moved to the bottom where they belong especially important for larger devices It s nice to finally see some music apps updated with modern designs Software engineer with 25 years in the business That s a laugh because you obviously don t know what you re talking about Read the HIG                     Beautiful Redesign jobjacker

I m a long time user of this and the Scale Wizard apps and can t begin to say how disappointed I am with this upgrade You got rid of a very cool looking 3d GUI that was easy to use and replaced it with a design that looks like it was done by kindergarteners As a software engineer with over 25 years in the business I would fire developers who took what was there before and turned it into this Congrats on ruining a great couple of apps You should stick to strings you re good at those Obviously app development is just not your forte     Very Disappointed Lmiller59

I generally really like this app I don t use the sound so do not have the complaints that some of the others do However I am amazed how confusing it is to find 7ths and 9ths chord forms While it is fine for things like G triad and Gmaj7 s for example finding alternate forms for seventh chords like G7 is impossible This is a major omission             non major 7ths 9ths etc NorskiePete

I used this quite a bit for teaching but the sound no longer works It s still usable to some degree but that was a great feature which helped kids to hear each pitch I just updated a few moments ago but still nothing             Used to be great for teaching Kfinnerty

Some of the chord spellings are incorrect Ex b dim should be spelled with a double flat 7th Correct spelling B D F Ab Theirs B D F G This is a minor problem it dose show you the correct way to play the chords How ever they should correct this problem for people who need References In chord spellings It works well and I would recommend it for those who need a good how to play chord reference                 Good but Maro rocker

I m using an iPhone 4 and it works great The Lite Edition convinced me to buy the full version This app and their other app scale wizard are by far the best guitar apps I have purchased hands down I ve been playing guitar for nearly 20 years and as a teacher I recommend these apps to all levels and styles of guitarists Thank you dev team Planet Waves for these innovative apps The only suggestion I may have is to allow user to create a list folder s of favorite chords                     It works on iPhone 4 Stefanos Gatdoulos

This is an amazing app that every guitar player should have I have used it many times especially when playing jazz with those crazy 11th chords However there are no sus2 chords in the library as well as augmented I suppose you could use the diminished chords and invert them but it s a hassle Plus it crashes with iOS4                 Awesomeness taylorgeetar
